From our facilitator:

Hi! My name is Shane, and I’m a 2-Spirit Mi’kmaw/Irish bead artist with 25 years of experience. Born and raised in Toronto, I now call Windsor home, where I work at Culture Shock Bead Co., an Indigenous-owned and operated shop. Along with my passion for beadwork, I’m the Pride and Powwow Coordinator and Indigenous Mental Health Coordinator for 2-Spirited People of the 1st Nations.

My journey with beadwork has been about more than just creating. Beading is medicine. It’s a way to connect with culture, community, and storytelling. Whether you’re just starting out or have been beading for years, I’m excited to share this creative space with you and explore how beadwork can bring us together.
